Krewe de Charlie Sioux

Activities

Each year the Krewe participates in activities in both sister cities.

In February or March (depending on the date of Fat Tuesday) individuals from Sioux City, IA travel to Lake Charles, LA to participate in their Mardi Gras activities.  These activities usually consist of participating in a Chicken Run, riding in at least one parade, attending the Krewe of Illusions Ball, some sort of a community service event, and the block party on Fat Tuesday.  Additionally there are various other get togethers and activities.

Members from Lake Charles then travel to Sioux City over the 4th of July weekend every year to participate in variety of activities.  These activities usually consist of the Mardi Gras Festivale, the Big Parade, and Saturday in the Park on Saturday (see schedule and description for upcoming events below).  Additionally there are various other get togethers and activities for the Krewe members.

Photos from these events can be viewed in the Photo Gallery (link is on the left side of this page).
